- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I attended the Pharmacy today to obtain a refund for my daughters prescription payment she had previously paid whilst awaiting for her HC2 (help with health costs form). I was advised by the Pharmacist that they could not give the refund as the money had been paid on the 30.08.17 and the HC2 Form started on the 01.09.17. I contacted the NHS Prescription Service direct and they advised me that the payment can be refunded retrospectively from 3 month prior to the issue of the certificate and a lot of Pharmacists are not aware of the rules. I then telephoned the Pharmacist back and asked if he would ring the NHS line direct to clarify what I was telling him and he said he wasnt prepared to do that and then told me to have a good weekend and then put the phone down on me. I think this behaviour is very unprofessional and disappointing from a medical professional to act in this way. I was going to ask if he could provide his name to me and then I would ring the NHS line back and ask them to make direct contact. However, I was unable to get this far due to him hanging up on me. Very disappointing service and I shall not be taking any of my business to this local pharmacy anymore and will make sure friends and family are aware of the lack of customer services skills provided by the pharmacist.By Admin, August 26, 2020
